Family to Family

Family to Family is a series of eight weekly classes and is designed specifically for family members of adults living with mental illness. The Family to Family course balances education and skill training with self-care, emotional support, and empowerment. 

In Our Own Voice

In Our Own Voice is an education program in which two trained presenters share compelling personal stories about living with mental illness and achieving recovery. They share a video in addition to their own experience and have discussion with the audience.

NAMI Basics

NAMI Basics is a free, 6-week education program for parents and family caregivers of children and teens whom are experiencing symptoms of a mental illness or whom have already been diagnosed. NAMI Basics is offered in a group setting so you can connect with other people. 

Homefront

NAMI Homefront is a free, 6-session educational program for families, caregivers and friends of military service members and vets with mental health conditions. The course is held online and taught by  taught by trained family members of service members/veterans.

Peer to Peer

Peer-to-Peer is a experiential learning program for people with any serious mental illness who are want to establish and maintain their wellness and recovery.  Peer-to-Peer consists of ten two-hour units and is taught by a team of two trained mentors and a volunteer support person.. 

Hope for Recovery

Hope for Recovery is a one-day workshop that provides families and individuals with information, hope and practical strategies for dealing with mental illness. Participants learn about mental illnesses, treatments, coping strategies, the mental health system and local resources.

Support

Family Support Group

Family Support Groups are a resource for families who have a loved one with a mental illness. They provide the chance for family members to better care for each other and care for their ill family members.

Connection Support Group

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Program is a peer-based, mutual support group program for any adult living with a mental illness. The groups are intended to allow peers the chance to share their experiences.

 

Advocacy

NAMI Smarts

NAMI Smarts for Advocacy is a hands-on advocacy training program that helps people living with mental illness, friends and family transform their passion and lived experience into skillful grassroots advocacy.

NAMI Walks

NAMI Walks events bring together people of all ages and fitness levels to combat stigma, raise funds and promote awareness of mental illness. Each NAMIWalks 5K event is a celebration of recovery.

The NAMI Advocacy page has a variety of tools that can be useful resources for you if you are interested in advocating on the local, state and national levels for people living with mental health conditions.
